Saturday 9 March 10 – 5

1.15 – 5  Introduction to Forest Gardening (with a focus on the
Lordship Rec Orchard)
Bring a packed lunch, or lunch to share or buy from the Hub Cafe.

It is hoped that participants will contribute something according to their current means and whether they come for half day or whole ( adjust accordingly): e.g. whole day suggested fees for salaried high earner/salaried low earner/ unemployed or other:

£20/30+ depending on earnings
£10/15 low waged
£5/10  unemployed/ on benefits

The orchard in lordship rec is being developed using forest garden principles and it is hoped that some people who attend will be local people who can use the knowledge gained to help with the ongoing development of the orchard, if they wish to. However, it’s not restricted to local people, all welcome.

Tutors will be Michelle Lawson, professional gardener who also attended the Urban Orchard Management course and is keen to share grafting skills; and Marina O’Connell, organic fruit grower and permaculture tutor from The Apricot Centre.

You will go home with a young apple tree in a pot, so please bring something to carry it in.

Please let us know you are coming, so we can get the right number of tools ready. To book and for more information, contact Sally Haywill at shaywill@fastmail.co.uk or text 07757 333 202
