Luke Howard Weather Station

In 2022 the Luke Howard Weather Station was set up in the Hub .You can read its data, live on the Met Office website here:

https://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/observations/details?site_id=6c03f8c9-983a-ee11-913a-201642ba4c41

It commemorates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Luke Howard, ‘namer of clouds’, who did daily weather readings at his home in nearby Bruce Grove.  The weather station collects and displays info about weather conditions, alongside the generation of energy from the solar panels on the roof. The aim is to spread awareness about the importance of our climate and the need to promote sustainability in response to the global climate heating crisis. Why not come and check out the display screen by the main entrance?
