This year is the 250th anniversary (28th November) of the birth
of Bruce Grove resident, and world-famous scientist:
Luke Howard, the Namer of Clouds
Are you interested in helping to commemorate this inspiring figure?
Some ideas already include creating a Luke Howard Weather Station and
Cloud Interpretation boards at Lordship Rec and a weekend of events
26/27 November 2022 including talks, poetry, art and cloud viewing.Come along to a planning meeting

Green Flag Award for Woodland 2021

For yet another year, the Friends of Lordship Rec’s Woodland Group have won recognition of their consistently hard work, protecting and maintaining the woodland area and making it safe and enjoyable for park users and wildlife. The Woodland has won the Community Green Flag Award.

A Facebook member posted, “You have all done an amazing job. I always enjoyed Lordship Rec when I was a tot playing in the paddling pools but I love what has replaced them too. You have made the park into a wonderful haven for wildlife and people. Thank you.”

Tottenham Flower and Produce Show – The Workshops

Saturday September 11th, 11am-5pm

Stalls and workshops 11-5pm
Show/displays of exhibits from 1pm

Some of the workshops you can partipate in for adults and children are below:
1. Growing unusual and exotic veg
2. Traditional ways of boosting the immune system, managing viruses and bacteria naturally
3. How to make your own cosmetics/ personal care products from natural ingredients.
4. Japanese ‘leaf bashing’ to create designs on textiles
5. Explore the hedgerows of the rec
6. T shirt printing
7. Pinhole camera making and photography
8.  Paint your own plant pot
For children, a kids zone with
– Flower crown making
– Creating from recycled materials
– African story telling
– Expressive writing
– Young entrepreneurs area.
