" Friends of Lordship Rec have been volunteering in Lordship Rec for 24 years. They now co-manage the park with the Council. They have transformed the park from neglected wilderness to a thriving popular park, with great facilities and huge areas of beautiful nature and biodiversity. They have engaged 100s of volunteers in regular activities, from litter picking to maintaining the river and lake. Volunteers have also raised thousands of pounds for park improvements, free community events, bat walks and much more. "
