On Sunday around 8 of us had a work-in in the woodland in Lordship Rec (near the Downhills Park Rd gate) to continue our efforts to thin out some of the dense shrubs and remove dogwood.
There will be a site visit at the Woodland on Monday 24th August, 9.30am.
We will be meeting up with the Council’s Conservation Officer, Ian Holt, to discuss how we can help manage the woodland for nature conservation purposes whilst ensuring it is attractive for visitors.
All who wish to get involved in the sub-group are welcome!
