All welcome – please pass it on!

This is an invitation to anyone interested in helping organise activities at the annual Lordship Rec Community Festival on Sat September 12th 2009. Please come along to the planning meeting with your ideas and offers of help. We are particularly keen to identify the key partners who wish to organise and support specific activities at this year’s event, and also help us find sources of funding. At the moment we have minimal funding but need to raise around £13,000.

As always all participating groups are encouraged to come and help organise the event collectively, as it is this kind of community-led partnership working that is gradually succeeding in regenerating and transforming Tottenham’s largest green space into a fantastic resource for the whole borough. This year’s event in September coincides with the deadline for the final ‘Stage 2’ bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund to ensure the park receives the £4m which has been provisionally earmarked for the planned improvements. The festival will be a celebration of the exciting potential of the park, and of all the efforts to improve it.

If you can’t make it but would like to be actively involved please let us know.
